06/15/12 - Fish Food & Food Trucks – Just a quick tidbit update for June - our Fish have figured out people = food! There is a specific spot on the pond we have trained them to converge for breakfast and dinner (or maybe they trained us?).
Speaking of food, Susan and I are both huge fans of the new food truck parks around Fort Worth. There is currently one North of Montgomery Place and a second North of downtown near Lagrave Field. The trucks tend to change daily so there is usually something new to try!

06/30/12 - Feast for the Beasts – Susan and I hosted a fundraiser for the Westside Animal League on Saturday. The League rescues animals from local kill shelters and finds them loving homes. It is a great cause and we have a couple of friends (Bob and Stephanie) who donate a lot of their time to this charity.
The Feast for the Beast idea was to have several couples host dinner parties. Guests who attend would feed the charity, and in return, get fed by the hosts. Afterwards the individual parties met up at Rebecca Low's art gallery for dessert. Susan and I opted for a formal wine tasting instead of dinner and we had a great response - we raised $605! We have very generous friends =D. The following is a summary of the tasting:
